Works As Advertised November 19, 2008 This is perfect for short trips afield with my birddogs. The only drawback is the plug for the water jug. Can't buy spares? and there should have been some sort of lanyard attaching this to the container to prevent loss.
Great for taking the dogs anywhere September 30, 2008 Mainly, we use this for the water capacity. It's great to give our girls a good drink after a long day at the dog park or on any road trip when the weather is hot. My only "complaint" is that this is smaller than our previous one and the food storage lid gets caught on the cargo netting in the back of our truck and pops off.
outstanding travel bowl July 27, 2008 This is an outstanding bowl for the vehicle traveler! Very easy to transport the dog's food and water. we take several trips a year with more than one dog, and it easily holds enough food for each day's outing. We often take many day trips from our home, and we always have more than enough for the day, in one unit. Much better than the old, with a square lid, (the old had a round lid, much like a coffee can, that always seemed to break) that is held fairly securely in place for travel. I and my hunt partners each have two or three of these, and have had for over fifteen years.
Holds plenty of water! January 10, 2008 My dog plays frisbee at the dog park every morning and she drinks a LOT of water while we're there. This is great to take along so she doesn't run out of water before she runs out of energy. I looked a long time for a portable water bowl that holds enough water for my thirsty pup.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's kind of hard to carry when it's weighted down with all that water (a minor inconvenience really). I figured I could just use the bowl part as a handle, but it's rather slippery (especially with gloves on) and hard to keep a grip on. Add a carrying handle and this would be absolutely perfect!
Great for travel.....especially big dogs. December 5, 2006 We travel with our lab all the time. This is great. It holds a gallon of water and makes providing water on a long trip a cinch. Highly recommended!
