Doesn't normally spill, but also doesn't dispense enough water   November 30, 2008 I purchased this water bowl for use at the dog park. It seems fairly sturdy and has a nice squat shape that would be hard for a dog to accidentally knock over. It also holds a pretty good amount of water. I wish the blue cap were easier to screw on. It usually takes me several tries because it seems to want to cross thread. The main issue I have, though, is that the blue cap fills with less than an inch of water under normal operation. The water level rises significantly when I apply pressure to the other end of the container using my foot. Once I release the pressure, the water level falls back down. This is a problem at the dog park for two reasons: 1. I have to remain standing nearby the Water Boy in order to dispense water (with foot pressure) for the thirsty dogs. 2. Quite a few dogs are too nervous to drink water while I've put my foot down right next to their noses. Favorite Doggy Water Bowl...   May 25, 2008 We started with one...got a second one and this is the third...for whatever reason our dogs like drinking out of this style dog water bowl best, and we like it becase it doesn't spill! Works great in a moving vehicle and holds alot of water for in the home. One thing - make sure that you SECURELY screw the top in, because if it is not done very tightly, it will leak. Other than that, it is wonderful and works better than any bowl we have tried! Good for all size dogs   May 1, 2008 I love this product. Not only is it great for travel without spills, both my 40 lb. dog and my 80 lb. dog prefer it to larger water pans. The water seems to stay fresher. I bought a second one so I can have one in the house and one in the car. Great Product   March 23, 2008 This water bowl is amazing. Our puppy was flipping every other bowl we tried. It's great in a crate, on the floor and even for traveling...if you have a dog, get one of these. Travel water bowl best suited to smaller breeds   May 6, 2007  3 out of 3 found this review helpful I gave this a two star rating based on the fact that mine was to be used for a larger dog. This product would be adequate for a small dog. But the opening for a dog with a larger muzzle is not large enough. The claims for not spilling water seem to be true. However, since only about an inch of water is in the bottom of the opening at any time, it's more difficult for a larger dog to get his nose in and get a good drink. I guess if the dog were extremely thirsty and had no other water supply, this could do in a pinch.
