We like the backseat hammock, however, our smart lab puppy (7mo old) figured out how to get under the hammock. She can squeeze past the front seat and door; getting under it. Made for an interesting ride when she popped her head out from underneath. We do like it, though, and would recommend it even to keep your back seats clean.

My english bulldog was ruining my backseat after trips to the dog park. The drool was everywhere! I installed this in my back seat, now the drool is all over this instead of my backseat. And he can still get his head in the middle of the two front seats so the air conditioning can get to him.

My dog's favorite place to be when we're on the highway is sitting right in my lap. 30lbs of puppy trying to nudge her way between myself and the steering wheel has been keeping me from driving anywhere with her. Plus, I have leather and muddy claws after a hike were not a good mix. Now I don't have to worry about the safety of either or us, or the state of my back seat. It's incredibly easy to set up, just throw the loops over the headrests and anchor it in. I don't usually don't have other people in the backseat, but if I did it wouldn't take more than a minute to take down for them. Not sure how well the velcro would hold for heavier dogs, but my medium sized dog is supported just fine.
