 Excellent coffee, Breathtaking price December 20, 2008
I have owned the Essenza for over a year and in that time have formed some strong opinions. First, it is an excellent machine; well built, simple, beautiful and seemingly indestructible. Second, it produces some of the best tasting espresso I have ever had. That said, the capsules really are expensive, thus the four stars. For that reason alone, I limit myself to only those times I can sit back and savor the coffee. This is not for bolting down a cup and heading out the door to work. This is for spoiling oneself. In that vein may I suggest a cold night, a thick robe, a good book and a cup of very rich hot chocolate laced with a double espresso. Under those conditions the cost seems minimal.

This is our second nespresso machine and we love it. It takes up very little space and is an attractive design. My husband and I are hooked on our morning lattes and are enjoying using this machine. I highly recommend this product for it's ease and reliability!
great coffee November 9, 2008
This machine makes the best espresso. My only complaint is that it doesn't make it quite hot enough for me. I use cream in mine, so I microwave it first and that takes care of the temperature problem.

If you appreciate good coffee, no if you appreciate fabulous coffee, this is the Nespresso machines are for you. Firstly the Nespresso system isn't just one of those cartridge-coffee machines, it is an Espresso system that delivers either an espresso sized coffee or Lungo (double espresso). You buy the cartridges from Nespresso.com, and are available in roasting strengths and styles. There are exclusive blends and coffee styles from all over the coffee world, pretty much every style for every taste.
The machine is a semi-automatic machine in that you add the water to the reservoir at the back, allow the water to heat, when ready you insert the cartridge, press the button and enjoy the deliciously smooth experience. The used cartridges are collected at the back of the machine so you just keep making coffee without needing to empty every time.
Easy to clean, easy to use, you only need to enjoy the coffee experience.

I have owned the $2000 Capressco machine and it worked good for a few years but just died out. A friend of mine had this and I tried his espresso. Wow!! How could such a "cheap" machine make such awesome coffee?
The reality is that the secret is in the coffee pods themselves. They are always fresh and consistently delicious. I like that the machine doesn't have to grind beans. Less to clean, less to break.
