awesome January 6, 2009 This product would have been a steal at any price. Less waste, Very quick cup of coffee, Easy to clean. I am very happy with this product.
Great for coffee AND tea drinkers! January 5, 2009 I am a loose-leaf tea drinker and I generally have little need for a coffee pot, except when I have a guest who may want a cup or two. This 3-in-1 beverage center filled that need very nicely. It brews a single cup very quickly, even a larger cup for my caffiene-addicted friends, and I can clean it and start another cup to taste for someone else if necessary with very little turn-around. As a bonus, it does quick brew some of my black teas nicely as well - any other tea I just use it for water and then steep the tea separately. This little machine has been great!
Things to note: - I definitely recommend using a filter when brewing any coffee or tea not in a pod or bag. #1s work fine, or cut a larger one to fit. - Once you have brewed coffee from grounds, make sure to wipe out the basket area with a napkin/cloth, then flick the lid once or twice to make sure no grounds are caught in the hinge. I prefer my tea not to have a coffee aftertaste. :) - To make certain you are not over-filling the reservoir, fill the cup you want to use first, then pour into the reservoir from that cup. You can add a smidge more, as you will lose some to steam - but if you overfill you will have hot liquid all over your counter. The machine does not have an off button!
Great little coffee maker January 4, 2009 I didn't even know one cup coffee makers existed until I was in San Francisco and they had one in our hotel room. Loved it and was all set to get one when I got home. I was looknig at the Keurig, the new one cup model that just came out, but then found out they were offering a once cup as a service award gift at work so I ended up saving myself money and getting a great coffee maker free! I love this! I'm usually only a coffee drinker in the morning at work but it is wonderful having one at home when I want a cup in the evening. This little machine takes up no room, brews a cup in about a minute, has a hidden water reservoir and there's no cleanup! I've only used pods so far and you just pop them in and throw them out when you're done.
This is a great little machine at a great price!
AWESOME for those interesting in trying out coffee January 4, 2009 After looking around, I found this machine and decided to buy it for the following reasons.
-First of all, it wasn't very expensive. If I ended up not liking coffee, then it wouldn't have been too much of a waste of money. -Another benefit I saw from this product was that it could also be used for hot water so that if coffee wasn't going to work out, I could still use it for drinks like hot chocolate. -I was also not interested in making an entire pitcher of coffee, so when I found that this only filled a mug or two at a time, I was overjoyed. -This machine also uses a mesh filter so I don't have to buy paper filters which would be an added expense.
After using it now for a good 4 months, I'm THOROUGHLY happy w/ my purchase. It's done exactly what I was expecting it to do and I shake my head at those who buy $150 machines that practically do the same thing. The only thing that I haven't been satisfied with is that you have to use more coarse grounds because the mesh filter will let smaller sized grounds through easier. If you're teetering on whether to buy this machine, I strongly urge you to pick this model!
Perfect solution December 18, 2008 I drink coffee all day long but hate stale coffee. This coffee maker is perfect for me and I've been using mine every day 4 or 5 times a day for over a year. Now I can't find them at Target in store so I'm on the hunt for a replacement for when mine ultimately gives up its ghost and one for my vacation home. They are only $20 at most reasonable retailers. Amazon is not one of the reasonable retailers unfortunately.
